Fragmented, by George Fong

FBI Special Agent Jack Paris is called to investigate the murder of a woman. Under normal circumstances, murder is a local crime. But in this case, the victim has a 17 year-old daughter who is missing and the presumption is she’s been kidnapped. That makes it a federal matter. From evidence taken at the murder scene, Paris finds a link to a past case involving an old suspect by the name of Alvin Cooper. Cooper was convicted for murdering his wife and child five years ago. But how could he be involved. He’s in prison. Paris soon learns he’s not. Cooper has escaped.

In a kidnapping, time is everything and sifting through evidence can be slow and at times misleading, taking Paris down paths leading nowhere. He has to find, her and it must be soon. It’s the hottest summer on record and Paris is told his victim is a diabetic. Without her medication, she won’t survive the heat. Finding his victim is priority, but the question still haunts Paris; Why kidnap a young girl?

Fragmented is the first book in the Jack Paris Thriller series.

Over thirty years ago, George Fong graduated from College with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.  Armed with the knowledge of bookkeeping, he became a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigations. But at the end of a major homicide case he knew he needed to find a way back to being human.  He started writing and met other writers and published authors, some of the nicest people you could ever meet that like to kill. Or at least write about it.

After 27 years with the FBI, he’s retired and currently works as the Director of Security for ESPN, the World Wide Leader in Sports.
